Globex is a financial services provider established in 2014 and located in the South of France with five branches. Globex is registered in France with registration number 794844605. Head Office: 13 Boulevard de la République, 06240 Beausoleil, France.

Where are the branches located?

Our branches are located in Antibes, Beausoleil, Menton, Nice Ville and Nice Riquer. Click on the menu “Globex Branches” for further details.

Does Globex have agents in other locations?

No, we do not have any agents.

Does Globex have an online financial product?

Yes. Please refer to the header “eGlobex” for more information on our online accounts and card program.

Does Globex offer loans or credits?

No, we do not offer loans or credits.

Which services does Globex offer at their branches?

Globex offers (1) Money Exchange and (2) Money Transfer services.

(1) Money Exchange

What is Money Exchange?

Money exchange is a financial service, whereby we buy your foreign currency or sell to you a foreign currency. We support a wide range of foreign currencies. Globex is licensed by the ACPR Banque de France (REGAFI number: 61416) for money exchange.

Which currencies do you support?

We buy and sell the following currencies (bills only): AUD, CAD, CHF, DKK, GBP, JPY, NOK, SEK, USD, AED, BGN, BHD, BRL, CNY, CZK, EGP, GIP, HKD, HUK, ILS, INR, ISK, JOD, KRW, KWD, LKR, MAD, MUR, MXN, MYR, NZD, OMR, PHP, PLN, PKR, QAR, RON, RSD, RUB, SAR, SGD, THB, TND, TRY, UAH and ZAR. This currencies list is subject to change and availability. For an up-to-date list, please contact our branches.

How can I exchange my foreign currency to receive EUR?

Visit any of our branches with your foreign currency and your valid ID.

How can I order and buy foreign currency?

Visit any of our Globex branches in AntibesBeausoleilMentonNice Ville and Nice Riquier and bring your ID. If you’re happy with the exchange rate, we will book your purchase. If the branch has the currency in stock, you can buy it right away. If not, your foreign currency will be available for you to collect within a few days with your consent.

Which identity documents do you accept?

We accept passports (all nationals,) driver’s license, EU ID’s and residence permits.

I’m travelling soon. How soon should I buy my foreign currency?

We advise you to buy your foreign currency two weeks before your departure.

I’m a minor. Can I exchange money?

You need to be at least 18 years old to exchange money.

Can I transact over the phone and then proceed to the branch to finalize it?

You need to come to one of our branches in person to transact.

Can my company exchange money?

Can my representative exchange money for me?

No. The ID holder must be the individual exchanging money.

How can I know the exchange rates?

(2) Money Transfer

What is Money Transfer or Money Remittance?

Money transfer at Globex branch is also known as money remittance. It is a financial service for individuals to send or receive money using a remittance provider. An individual may send money to a beneficiary’s bank account or to a cash pick-up point located all over the world. A beneficiary can collect the cash within minutes. A bank transfer may arrive instantly or in a few days, depending on the receiving bank.

Who is the money remittance provider of Globex branches?

Globex is an official agent (reference number: C141356) of the money remittance provider, Western Union Ireland (C55075) licensed by the Central Bank of Ireland.

To which destinations can I send money to?

Are there transfer fees?

Yes, transfer fees apply. Please consult with our branch operators.

From which countries can I receive money from?

Our clients may receive money from all sending countries supported by Western Union.

Are there fees for receiving cash transfers?

No, you will receive the net amount of your cash transfer.

What do I need in order to send money to my beneficiary?

Come to our branch with your valid ID, the full name of your beneficiary, location, and if you’re sending to a bank account, bring complete bank details. Ask your beneficiary for full details, as some countries require information in addition to the bank name and account number.

How can my beneficiary receive my cash transfer?

You will receive a unique transfer reference number (MTCN) for your cash transfer. You need to give this MTCN to your beneficiary in a secured manner. Then, your beneficiary can collect the cash at his convenience from any Western Union collection point by presenting the MTCN and his ID.

Can my beneficiary collect my cash transfer exclusively from a Western Union office?

Your beneficiary can collect the cash transfer from any Western Union office and all financial centers which support Western Union. Western Union has agents throughout the world.

If I send to a bank account, does my beneficiary need to collect the money in person?

No. If you send to a bank account, the money will arrive directly on your beneficiary’s account.

Can I send money to a company’s bank account?

No. You can send money only to another individual’s bank account.

Can I send money to an online account service?

Most online accounts accept bank transfers using Western Union. Please check with the online account service to confirm.

How can I receive a cash transfer from a Globex branch?

Come to any of our branches with your valid ID and the unique transfer reference number (MTCN) that you received from your sender.

I’m a minor. Can I send or receive money?

You need to be at least 18 years old to send or receive money.

What are your opening hours?

Can I modify, cancel or track my transfers?

Yes, as long as the funds are still available for changes and Western Union can effect them. Consult with our branch operators.

What is the limit of the amount that I can transfer or receive?

Sending amount limits apply. Please consult with our branch operators. As for receiving money, you can receive provided you have valid and approved MTCN transfer.

Can my representative send or receive money on my behalf?

No. The sender or recepient must come in person to our branch with a valid ID.

Can my beneficiary receive the money in the local currency?

Yes.
