If you’re visiting Cannes this August, there’s still time to experience one of the city’s best-loved summer traditions. Each year, the Cannes Fireworks Festival transforms the Bay of Cannes into an open-air stage, where international pyrotechnic teams compete with spectacular displays choreographed to music. Remaining Fireworks Shows in August 2026

As of 5 August 2026, the festival is entering its final stretch, with two fireworks displays still on the programme:

● 15 August 2026 – JoHo Pyro Professional Fireworks AB (Finland) – 10:00 PM

● 24 August 2026 – Flash Barrandov Special Effects (Czech Republic) –Grand Finale (out of competition) – 10:00 PM

Each performance lasts approximately 25 minutes and is launched from barges anchored in the Bay of Cannes. The fireworks are carefully synchronised with a musical soundtrack, and every competing team presents its own artistic concept, ensuring that no two evenings are ever quite the same. Where Are the Best Places to Watch the Fireworks?

One of the biggest advantages of the Cannes Fireworks Festival is that you don’t need a ticket to enjoy the show. The fireworks are visible from many locations along the coastline. The most popular viewing spots include:

● La Croisette, where visitors can enjoy an unobstructed view across the bay.

● The public beaches, perfect for families and groups wanting to picnic before the show.

● Le Suquet, Cannes’ historic district, offering elevated panoramic views.

● Boat cruises, which provide a unique perspective directly on the water. To secure a good spot, it’s recommended to arrive at least 90 minutes before the 10:00 PM start, particularly for the 15 August holiday. How to Get to Cannes During the Festival Fireworks evenings attract large crowds, making parking in the city centre extremely limited.

The easiest ways to reach Cannes are:

● TER regional trains from Nice, Antibes, Monaco and other Riviera towns.

● Regional buses serving the Alpes-Maritimes.

● Walking from Cannes railway station to La Croisette, which takes around ten minutes.

If you’re travelling by train, expect busy platforms after the fireworks and allow extra time for your return journey.

Coming by car: Parking in Cannes

If you’re coming to Cannes by car to attend the show, please note: the Palais des Festivals parking lot will be closed from 8:00 p.m. to midnight.

To avoid parking difficulties, we recommend using the other parking lots located near the event venue. The City of Cannes also offers discounted rates to make parking easier for visitors. These offers are valid at the 8 multi-story parking garages managed by Cannes Parking: Palais, Suquet-Forville, Pantiero, Ferrage-Meynadier, Vauban, République, Lamy – Rue d’Antibes, and Roseraie.

The City of Cannes also offers reduced parking rates that can help visitors:

● 2 hours free once per week in participating car parks.

● 3 free hours on Saturdays and 3 free hours on Sundays/public holidays (up to 6 hours over the weekend).

If you plan to stay in Cannes all day before the show, be sure to park in one of the participating parking garages as soon as you arrive. This way, you can enjoy your day stress-free and easily make your way to your evening destination without having to move your car before the fireworks.
