At Globex (hereinafter: “Globex”, “we”, “our”), one of our main priorities is the privacy of our visitors and/or users. This Privacy Policy applies to eGlobex app users, as well as visitors to our websites (www.myeglobex.com and www.globexfrance.com) and social media pages (jointly: “Services”) . This Privacy Policy applies to users of the eGlobex app, and website/social media visitors concerning the information they have shared and/or data that is collected. This Privacy Policy serves to communicate our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Data (1) . By opting to use our services, you acknowledge and consent to the collection and use of information as outlined in this policy.

Data collected

Website and Social Media

By using our website and/or visiting our social media, you consent to our Privacy Policy and agree to its terms. Personal Data is collected and used for marketing and advertising efforts, as well as to optimise and enhance the quality of services provided. Exclusive to the website and social media, data collected includes browsing behaviour (for instance, pages visited, time spent on the site, and interactions with content), as well as social media, website, and ad-related analytics.

eGlobex App

As joint data collector/controller (alongside its Principals), Globex can collect, process, store and transmit personal data to our Principals, as well as other third party data controllers, for verification purposes, prevention of money laundering and fraud, judicial requirements, and fulfilling control and reporting obligations pursuant to regulatory requirements. Moreover, personal data is collected and used for the purpose of optimising Globex’ products and services.

When you register for an eGlobex Account, we collect personal data including: names, (for sole traders: trading name), address, email address, and telephone number, among other details (i.e., date of birth, place of birth, nationality, occupation, gender, data concerning your economic situation, ID type, ID number, a copy of the ID, face identification, a copy of the proof of address), as well as demographic Information (for example: IP location and language preferences), and device information (for example: type of device, cookies and tracking technologies).

If additional personal data is requested, the user will be clearly informed about the specific information requested and the reasons for requesting it at the time, if applicable. If you contact us directly (for example, contact via website) or for corporate giveaways/promotions (for example, contact via social media), we may receive additional information about you such as your name, email address, phone number, the contents of the message and/or attachments you may send us, and any other information you may choose to provide.

How we use your information

We will only use personal data for the purpose for which it was collected, which includes, but not limited to:

Where and Why we process your data

Business relationship

Globex collects personal data for the provision of our eGlobex services. Globex may disclose this information to third parties when necessary. In terms of transaction monitoring, Globex will collect and process payment and transaction data (for example: transaction amount, beneficiary data and transaction timeframes), profile data (for example: employment state), usage data (for example: device type, IP address). Globex collects and processes this data to enhance user protection, guarding against the risk of account theft, as well as prevention of money laundering and fraud.

Legal obligations

Globex collects personal data for legal and regulatory requirements, such as prevention and detection of money laundering, financial crime and fraud. Globex may disclose this information to third parties and authorities, if applicable.

Newsletter

In our email newsletter, we share updates on Globex products and services. We may also seek your feedback through surveys. We will collect email addresses to send our newsletter. You can withdraw your consent anytime through an unsubscribe link in the newsletter.

Account Creation

During your eGlobex account creation, we will seek your consent for geolocation, camera, and microphone access. This is done to verify your location and comply with legal obligations related to preventing money laundering and fraud pursuant Art 6 para 1 no f of General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Globex adheres to the lawfulness principle outlined in Article 6 GDPR (“Lawfulness of processing”), where processing is deemed lawful only if, and to the extent that, at least one of the specified conditions applies pursuant to Article 6 GDPR.

Log Files

Regarding our websites and/our social media, these files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this as part of hosting services’ analytics. The information collected by log files include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is for analysing trends, administering the site, tracking users’ movement on the website, and gathering demographic information.

Advertising Partners Privacy Policies
